Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Entry is open to Australian residents only, aged 18 years or over from all states except Western Australia and South Australia. Employees of Children's Cancer Institute Australia, Freedom, Fisher & Paykel, Winning Appliances, Austral Bricks, McDonald Jones Homes and Walker Corporation their associated companies and their immediate families are ineligible.
The competition period starts on Friday 18 August 2017 at 9:00am AEST and ends on Friday 29th September 2017 at 11.59pm AEST (the “Competition Period”).
To enter, entrants must:
Go to www.buildforacure.org.au/virtualgoldbrick and follow the directions on the website;
Register their details, including (but not limited to) name, address, email address
Purchase a Virtual Gold Brick at a cost of $10 for one brick or 4 bricks for $30 or 7 bricks for $50
Agree to be automatically signed up to the Children's Cancer Institute, Freedom, Fisher & Paykel, Winning Appliances, Austral Bricks, McDonald Jones Homes and Walker Corporation’s respective print and/or online newsletters.
- Entries are subject to them being submitted in accordance with entry requirements to be deemed valid.
The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of Australian residency status at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity, in order to claim a prize. Acceptance of proof of identification, Australian residency status and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of Children's Cancer Institute. In the event that a winner cannot provide proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
Prize consists of the following:
AU$10,000 AUD Freedom Australia voucher valid for any Freedom product/s mentioned on http://freedom.com.au subject to availability to the total RRP of $10, 000 AUD. Voucher is valid for a period for 12 months from date of issue and must be redeemed direct online or at any Freedom store in Australia. The voucher must be used in a single transaction and any unused portion of the voucher will be forfeited. The winner can choose to pay the difference between the cost of a desired item and the $10,000AUD voucher if the desired item has a higher RRP. Freedom will deliver the products to a single Australian street address at no cost for the winner. Missed deliveries may result in the winner incurring re-delivery charges.
AU$10,000 Fisher & Paykel/Winning Appliances voucher valid for any Fisher & Paykel product/s mentioned available in Winning Appliances showroom subject to availability to the total RRP of $10,000 AUD. Voucher is valid for a period for 6 months from date of issue and must be redeemed directly from Fisher & Paykel by visiting a Winning Appliances showroom who will arrange direct redemption. The voucher must be used in a single transaction and any unused portion of the voucher will be forfeited. The winner can choose to pay the difference between the cost of a desired item and the AUD$10,000 voucher if the desired item has a higher RRP. Fisher & Paykel will deliver the products to a single Australian street address at no cost for the winner. The prize does not include the cost of any customised installation or any kitchen cabinetry. Missed deliveries may result in the winner incurring re-delivery charges. If the voucher is damaged or lost it can be cancelled and reissued by Winning Appliances and Fisher & Paykel.
AU$10,000 Austral Bricks voucher valid for products from across the Brickworks Group valued at $10,000. Austral Bricks reserves the right to substitute this product for items of equal or greater value. Austral Bricks will deliver the products to a single Australian metropolitan address at no cost for the winner. Missed deliveries may result in the winner incurring re-delivery charges.
The prize draw will take place at Greeneagle Distribution and Fulfillment, 5/9 Fitzpatrick St, Revesby NSW 2212 on Wednesday 4th October 2017 at 10am (AEST).
The prize winner will be notified by phone and email on Thursday 5th October 2017 and by mail at a later date. The name of the prize winner will be published on the buildforacure.org.au/virtualgoldbrick website on Thursday 5th October 2017 and in the Adelaide Advertiser newspaper on Saturday 7th October.
There may be circumstances in which the Promoter cannot provide the prize as described for reasons beyond its reasonable control. In those circumstances, the Promoter will provide an alternative prize or prizes of equal or greater value to the promoted prize.
Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
Prize does not include insurance, nor any optional extra features or accessories unless expressly stated in Clause 7.
All warranties as required by law for the prizes or products purchased with the prize vouchers will be determined by Freedom, Fisher & Paykel, and Austral Bricks (‘the Prize Suppliers’), respectively.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damages, or injury incurred to enter the competition or in connection with taking up the prizes.
Once prizes have left the prize supplier's premises, the Promoter take no responsibility for prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit.
The Promoter will use all reasonable effort to contact prize winners. If the prize remains unclaimed after 12 months, the unclaimed prizes will be returned to the Prize Supplier.FINAL CONDITIONS
The Promoter takes no liability for any tax issues which may arise from accepting a prize in this competition. Please consult an independent tax adviser if this is a concern.
Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices at the time of printing (inclusive of GST). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.
It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the Prize Supplier's requirements, terms and conditions.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal or permanent injury or loss of life; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition including, but not limited to:
any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control);
any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or use of the prize.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alterations of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
If this Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, (including, but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition), the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law:
to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process and/or administration security of the Competition; or
to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition, as appropriate, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority and government legislation.
The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the phone user or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this Competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
