Our Ambassadors

Scott Cam

Scott Cam is one of Australia’s best loved television personalities. As host of The Block on Nine Network, Scott’s laid back larrikin attitude has won him millions of fans across Australia, as evidenced by his 2014 Gold Logie award and we’re so grateful for his support of Build for a Cure and Children’s Cancer Institute.

When Bill McDonald asked me to join the Build for a Cure campaign to raise funds for Children’s Cancer Institute, I was thrilled to have a way I could personally help. These people aren’t asking for a miracle, just the funds to make it happen. Children’s Cancer Institute’s determination is infectious and I encourage all Aussies to give generously.

Mitchell Pearce

Mitchell Pearce is an Australian Rugby League footballer and now a local to the Newcastle region. His determination, passion and personable approach on and off field made Mitchell a perfect personification of McCloy Group values, and a great ambassador to engage the local community in such a fantastic cause.

Teaming up with McCloy Group for the Build For A Cure project is an opportunity I’m extremely keen to be part of and what a cause to support! The project has shown enormous success in the past as it continues to do amazing work to achieve zero childhood cancer. It’s clear Newcastle’s a tight knit community and will no doubt get behind this

Damien Cooley

When Damien started Cooley Auctions in 2003 he had one clear vision – to put together the best auctioneering team in Australia. Now, as the auctioneer of choice for Australia’s most respected real estate agencies, his clients rely on his inimitable style and unsurpassed calibre of service to achieve consistently exceptional results – including his work on Channel 9’s The Block.

We’re lucky enough that Damien takes time out of his busy schedule to support Children’s Cancer Institute and Build for a Cure and are looking forward to seeing him work his magic at the 2018 Auction.

Karstan and Maxine

Proud Novocastrians Max and Karstan made their mark on the record-rating season of Channel Nine’s, The Block Glasshouse, in 2014.  Equipped with a ‘you only live once’ attitude, cheeky sense of humor, adventurous spirit and a ‘team-player’ approach, the couple had an absolute blast!

The husband and wife duo, love renovating, creating and designing and whether it be a house or the restoration of an old car, they always seem to have a project on the go.

Giving back to those in need within their community is a strong passion for both Max and Karstan.

They cannot wait to make a difference by being involved with 'Build for a Cure'.
